Festoon Lights. $2.75 per metre per day/weekend. (10m or 20m lengths)

About Our Festoon Lights:

Beautiful, warm white colour.
Energy efficient LED globes. Run hundreds of them safely without overloading your power socket.
50cm globe spacing. (Many cheaper lights are 1m spacing you only get half as many globes!)
Powerful 2 watt globes. (Many others are only 1 watt or less.)
Outdoor rated & waterproof.
Fully dimmable. Want it bright during dinner but darker for dance time? No problem, just turn a knob.
Low temperature. Won't set your decorations on fire!
Shatter proof globes - no need to worry about breaking them.

Can I self hire?
Yes but make sure you have the ability to safely install. You’ll probably need to use a ladder & may to to run supporting cable depending on distance.

Can you install the for me?
Yes. In fact we mostly install. Install cost starts at $110 & will depend on how many lights & the work involved in installing. Contact us for a quote.

How many of these do you have in stock?
We have 160 metres worth consisting of 6 x 20m & 4 x 10m lengths.

What distance can I span?
Without cable support you can span 7 metres. After that you’ll need cable to support it. (We can supply).

How many lights can I have on one dimmer?
The dimmers are rated to 400 watts so you can run a maximum of 100 metres per dimmer.

I can buy festoon lights at Bunnings or online pretty cheap. Why would I hire yours?
Fair question. Firstly, not all festoon lights are made equal. You’ll find that the cheaper ones are:

1 globe per metre instead of 2 so you’re getting half the lights. That might be OK if you simply want to light an area but the number of lights makes a big difference to the decorative effect that you get.
Generally less power like 0.5 or 1 watt rather per globe than 2 watts.
Non-dimmable. You can’t adjust the level of the lighting, It’s either on or off.

Secondly, other considerations are that:

You may need to purchase additional hardware like cable or hooks. This is something we include in the hire.
You’ll need to store them after your event & they do take some space.
